Who is Janien?

Hey! My name is Janien, I’m the co-founder of Digital Green. I grew up in the south of the country, more specifically in the city of Heerlen. Eight years ago I moved to Amsterdam to finish my law studies. After graduating and after travelling for a few months, I started working as a lawyer at big corporate law firm. It was a time when I really enjoyed working on complex cases, always under time pressure. You learn to pick up important details quickly and to think ahead.

I enjoy living life to the fullest and I’m not afraid to give everything a try (like eating bugs in China). While travelling I’ve learned that meeting new people can be so inspiring. This, together with my previous experience as a lawyer, enables me to have interesting and in-depth conversations with candidates. I enjoy this a lot.

Nowadays I live in the Jordaan and can walk - with my dog - to our office on Dam Square every day. Doing our own business gives a certain feeling of freedom and that makes me happy. In addition, we have a close-knit team that works well together. I am proud of what we have managed to achieve together in such a short time!
